Facets of Us

Really nice, really busy day. Suki took a day for herself in the city to run some errands and do some exploring on her own… (it’s surprising and freeing to realize “Wait, I changed my mind, I want to stop and take photos here,” is something that doesn’t affect anyone else when you’re traveling alone. Missed planned bus? Fuck it, just take the next one, your plans can change. Decided you want to walk a little farther? Great, it’s on you. Got lost in the park? Shit, you need to find your way out of this one.)

Spent the day divided between crowds of people and open natural space, all on my own. It felt good to handle everything the way I wanted.

Then I met a lot of friends for dinner and we took over 3 or 4 tables in a restaurant with a heavenly, long-suffering waiter, and nom’d.
